The Southern California Color Pigeon Club held it's annual meet with the 2011 Pageant of Pigeons in Riverside, California, November 10, 11 and 12.
We had the great honor and privilage to have Hans Schipper of Holland as Judge for Color Pigeons (55). Hans also had the duty to judge Archangels (63) and Swallows (85). See the links below for those results.
Also included here are results of the German Trumpeters (16) which have been loosely associated with Color Pigeons for several years now. And, quite frankly are Trumpeters of Color Pigeon quality color. The Trumpeters were judged by Claus Jensen. Mike Cobb won best German Trumpeter with an "E" rated black spangle.
Leon Stephens won Champion Muffed Color Pigeon with his blue white bar Saxon Monk old hen #731 and Tony Brancato won Champion Clean Leg Color Pigeon with his Silver Suabian young hen #23. This was the year for Leon as he also won Champion Swallow and had several birds achieve the coveted "E-97" rating.
A new member, Tom Moss, won best Saxon Priest with a fine blue white bar yearling hen #DW236 and rated Highly Superior (HS-96)
